Taste a new Romania
Romania has a long association with wine making, dating back more than 4,000 years - although its most recent history has been somewhat turbulent.
In May 2009 a group of eight leading Romanian wineries joined together as an alliance to redress the balance, changing the way the world views Romania as a wine producing country.
This alliance - Romanian Winegrowers - has been born out of a desire to improve the quality and image of Romanian wine, leading to the re-birth of an industry that now features the latest in modern wine making practices.
We have all invested in our belief by funding new machinery and technology and developing our land and people. Our next step is to heighten awareness of what is uniquely Romania within both trade and consumer sectors, in order to fulfil the commitment and investment that we have made.
