Vinarte
A winery established in 1998, Vinarte takes full advantage of the terroir available in Romania by sourcing fruit from three of the best locations.
Based in the Dealu Zorilor, in the northern part of the Dealu Mare, the soils have more clay content than other parts of the Dealu Mare. Coupled with the calcium and chalk elements found in the Zoresti, the Vinarte winery has become synonymous with some of the best Merlot produced in Romania.
Vinarte grow grapes on flat lands, but also on steep hillsides terraces, which are known to give some of the highest quality grapes. A key vineyard site is ‘The Teganeanu’, planted with Merlot. Vinarte export wines all over the world and boast numerous awards.

Made from 100% Merlot this is one of Vinarte’s premium wines. Spending a year in new barriques, this is an elegant wine with great ageing potential. Intense rich dark fruit flavours with hints of violets and chocolate spice. Firm and persistent tannins give the wine structure and balance.
