Named after Guy TYREL de POIX’s daughter, Charlotte, this special cuvee has become a leading lady in the SERVE portfolio; and the newly released 2008 vintage is believed to be extra special.
Charlotte has been right behind the project since her father introduced the idea for the cuvee in 1999. The first vintage was limited to around 3,000 bottles, but its popularity over the last decade has seen production grow to around 30,000 bottles.
The 2008 vintage, a blend of Merlot and local grape, Feteasca Neagra, is believed to have excellent ageing potential, and in the words of the winemaker…“If one could find Charlotte a little bit shy at the beginning, her structure will certainly sustain her development for many years to come!”
